Wicked doesn't climb — it launches. Magnetic motors fire the train through a tunnel in the dark, then a second bank of them shoves it straight up a 110-foot tower. Tap the markers to explore each element, or ride it from onboard.
A German original. When Wicked opened in 2007 it was a bet: Zierer, a Bavarian builder known for gentle family rides, engineering a dual-launch tower machine — reported at $10 million. Linear synchronous motors accelerate the train horizontally through an enclosed tunnel, hand it to a second launch running straight up the tower, flip it 180° over the crest, and drop it into a layout that never stops swerving: camelback, overbanked turn, zero-G roll, and a pair of opposing 80°-banked half-pipe walls — all with lap bars only.
